Yesterday Andy & Matt travelled to knowsley council to deliver x 2 2 hour keynote / training for social care, teachers, professionals from Knowsley Council
It was a brilliant day engaging over 300 practitioners ensuring the session was engaging, interactive, real, informative and also FUN – YES we need to see more fun in social care as well as raise great practice and people that are changing lives every day – because they’re are MANY
We focussed on language, relationships, connection and stressed the importance of connecting with children on their level, listening to the children and really ensuring the agenda was always central to the children and families we serve – it was a time for reflection, honesty and evaluating practice…
We delivered from a childhood in care, stories, moments of reflection and learning, a joint 50 + years working with children and families and also 8 years running a service connecting with children every day and observing / listening
We want to thank Knowsley for the lovely welcome which is always so important, the interaction, the vulnerability shown by many staff throughout the day – something we are asking children and families to do ALL the time and the child centred passion we felt during our interactions and conversations
