Andy & Matt had the privilege to travel to Wilmslow & attend Care Today Leadership conference and deliver a motivating and empowering keynote. It was lovely to be invited after a representative from Care today saw us deliver at the Children’s Homes Association conference earlier this year.
Care Today are the largest family run residential childcare organisation in the UK and have been working extensively with children and young people in a wide variety of settings since 1970. Care Today and Parallel Parents have over 40 residential homes ranging from 1 to 6 beds in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Staffordshire, Stoke, Yorkshire, East Midlands, Wolverhampton and Worcestershire.
Yesterday was about reminding everyone of the WHY we do what we do, the importance of leading from the heart, how we make children feel with our words, interactions and presence and ultimately being the champion so many children need and deserve as they navigate the painful journey of being in care. You can be that ONE adult that connects from the heart, advocates, sees the potential and empowers the child through connection and safety to be the “best they can be”
