Smash Life didn’t stop during Easter !
Andy, Matt & Smash Life Mentor Dee started off in Dudley to deliver the second Smashing Life Into Independence Project to post 16 young people in care.
Workshops on budgeting , car maintenance, cooking, independent living schools and much more were delivered over a two week period to an enthusiastic group identified by Dudley Virtual School – big shout out to Rosemary & Mike – two fantastic professionals who helped deliver this fantastic and much needed project to young people about to embark on their journey into adulthood. Here we are pictured outside of a restaurant at the end of the project with all the young adults ready to take the skills and knowledge they have learnt and take it into the next phase of their lives.
Smash Life also ran a woodland fun day for young people who were under the care of the Shropshire Virtual School. We were joined by our super mentor and soon to be qualified Life Story Mentor Jane. A fund day was had by everyone and the young people left ready for the new school term ahead!
We have a busy summer ahead, delivering training, keynote talks around the UK, appearing on podcasts and preparing for our next Smash Life FC game ! We can’t wait !
